Would you like to perform at a festival with a large international band?

African traditional music x pops x JAZZ x soul x R&B x hip hop x reggae x brass band x dance

We are recruiting regardless of nationality!

  • No experience with African music required (rhythm will be taught after joining)!
  • We welcome people who can sing and play musical instruments (anything is OK! Taiko, guitar, bass, drums, saxophone, trumpet, keyboard, kalimba, kora, and other wind/string instruments), those who are interested in JAZZ and black music, and those who can dance African dance.
  • We are aiming for 100 registered members.
  • Those who can practice in Sagamihara once every 1-2 months.
  • We perform at festivals 3-4 times a year and have regular live performances.
  • We are also planning a live tour in Japan and Africa in the future!

Moderators/MCs and those who can set up PA sound are also welcome! !

The African Heritage Band is a band whose parent organization is the African Heritage Committee, and we work to convey the charm of African culture through music!

Africa Heritage also works to support children in Japan and Africa.
